Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This page explains how clash-linux.com ("this site") handles data while you browse and download files here. This site serves as a download and documentation hub for Clash-family clients, delivered entirely as static pages. Please read the terms below before using this site; continued access implies acknowledgment of this policy.

1. Scope of Data Collection

This site is fully static, with no account registration, login, comments, or subscription features, and no forms requesting personal details such as your name, email, or phone number. Browsing pages, reading docs, copying install commands, or clicking download links never requires you to submit personal information.

As with any web server, the server hosting this site generates standard access logs when responding to requests. These logs are limited to request time, request path, referrer, browser identifier, and a truncated IP address. They're used solely for troubleshooting and blocking malicious traffic, are rotated and purged on a fixed schedule, and are not used to identify individuals.

2. Analytics

To understand page views and content popularity, this site runs a self-hosted analytics tool. Collected data includes page views, referral source type, screen resolution, browser and OS category, and select interaction events (such as switching platform tabs on the download page). IP addresses are anonymized and truncated during processing, no cross-site visitor profiles are built, and data is stored on servers we manage ourselves — it's never sold or shared with ad networks.

If your browser has tracking-blocking extensions or settings enabled, the analytics script may fail to load; this has no effect on any page or download feature on this site.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

This site's pages work fully without relying on cookies. Any data written to your browser falls into two categories: first, short-lived analytics cookies used to distinguish unique visitors, which contain no personal information; second, minor local state from page interactions (such as recording the selected platform tab via a URL anchor), which stays in the address bar or page session and isn't persisted long-term. Clearing your browser data has no impact on future visits.

4. External Links and Download Sources

The clients listed on this site's download pages are maintained by their own open-source projects or development teams, and some links lead to app stores, official project sites, or other external destinations. These external sites have their own independent privacy policies and data practices, which aren't covered by this policy — please review their terms when visiting. We recommend always downloading installers through the entry points listed on this site's download pages or each project's official channels, and avoiding unverified mirror links.

5. Policy Updates

This policy may be revised as site features or analytics practices change. Any revised text will be published directly on this page, with the "Last updated" date at the top refreshed accordingly; major changes won't be announced separately, so the current version of this page is authoritative. We recommend checking back periodically for the latest version.

6. Questions and Feedback

This site doesn't offer a public email contact channel. For questions about installing, configuring, or using a client, check the relevant sections of the Quick Start Guide and Full Manual; for data handling practices specific to each client, refer to the documentation published by that open-source project.
